|20.||Butter for toasting bread||6 teaspoons|
|21.||Lemon wedges||1/4 cup|
- Wash the vegetables.
- Add them to a sterilizer alongside the water.
- Pressure cook until done.
- Heat butter in a pan.
- Temper with cumin seeds and add in finely chopped onion, green chilies, ginger-garlic paste along crushed Kasturi methi.
- Add chopped capsicum.
- Cook for 2-3 mins until it begins to soften.
- Add chili powder and turmeric powder.
- Fry for 5 seconds and add the mashed vegetables.
- Mix well and add tomato puree along with 1 cup of water.
- Bring to boil and add pav bhaji masala and peas.
- Cook covered for 10-15 mins.
- Now add within the mashed veggies and stock also and blend well.
- Add salt and simmer the veggie mash until desired consistency.
- Pav Bhaji is all ready.
- Now cut the Pav buns into half and generously apply butter.
- Toast it on a Tawa until the inner side gets golden and crisp.
- Serve Bhaji topped with raw onion, a dollop of butter along with toasted pavs, raw onions, coriander, and lemon wedges.
Pav bhaji is reasonable to use and takes up the taste of the masala making the bhaji delicious. But again as I said, there are not any rules to form bhaji. The choice of vegetable wont to make bhaji defines its taste. Pav bhaji has approx 215 Kcal and one serving of pav has approximately 100 Kcal.
